We're 3 and 2, played 4 major teams and have an easy run from here. Losing Fyfe because of his shoulder is a problem, who wants to spend $1mill on a Collingwood yob

Well done Peter & Terry, regardless of your age, an Ace is a fantastic effort for anyone. I look forward to your description of your next one. 70 is the new 50...I keep telling my wife that 60 is the new 40!!!!Why did the course close down?

After being a single figure marker for most of his life, one of our gun golfers has FINALLY recorded his first Hole in
One; congratulations Bruce Willoughby!!!! Bruce's biggest issue was not the fact that he had never had one it was the fact that a real hacker like me had recorded 2; one of them while actually playing with him. I would be interest in know how many some of the real guns have had. Guys like Wacker Payne, Pete Hevey, Harry James, Doug Conn, John Curbishley etc. Well done Bruce, I hope it's not too long before the next one comes along.

Great to see so many familiar names (and faces in the pics area), brings back some good memories. Have to agree about RIP to Morse, end of an era. Think today's communicators still do flashing light but only at about 8wpm where H looks like four E's :) Good work on the site!

As we are still getting unwanted 'SPAM' postings I have changed the security aspect of posts to a question, all you need to do is phoneticise BZ in the box at the end of your post (upper or lower case, it doesn't matter).

Testing Guestbook after upgrade - hopefully this will stop the SPAM postings we have had in the past month or so.
I have also enabled picture upload, it's not difficult as long as the file is not too large.
To further protect your email address it no longer appears in the 'Name' field but appears as a linked icon next to the 'Write a Comment' icon.

See my post of 20 Feb. Freo Dockers knocked off the reigning Premiers. Great game, Dockers had Cats rattled from the start. Great Docker forward line, accurate passing, you don't get a better to start a season

It was indeed a great game Doug, the Dockers did you proud. Good to see the competition evening out.

Sandy Mc Thursday, 23 February 2012 21:25
Yes Doug, but it is only smoke haze from all the bush fires down south, and not from the Freo footy ground !

Believe today is the 15th anniversary since the RAN ceased using Morse Code for long range communications. RIP.
